Whatever I can Think of

The only good thing about raisins is that they’re small enough to swallow without actually biting them.

The bad thing is… They’re in my ice cream! Why would anyone ruin a perfectly good ice cream with those turds of nature!? Worst of all is that nowhere on the label did it say that it had raisins…

Today I want to use this little burst of inspiration to write something to my friends.

First I want to start with my sister Jessy. Sweetie, thank you for helping me overcome my social anxiety and for showing me that there are still good people out there. With your sweetness and open self, I was able to be who I really was without fear of judgment, it was also you who introduced me to the woman I love and pushed me to go for it when I was scared. Thank you for all the support and fun times you have given me. We might not be physically close, but I feel close enough to call you my sister for life. No matter what life throws at you, never stop being your sincere, fun and cute self.

Now I want to move to my girlfriend Vanessa. Honey you have just been the most amazing thing that has happened to me. When I met you, I thought you were so odd… You are, and that’s why I love you. You’re not superficial, or materialistic. You’re open-minded, smart, trustworthy, sweet… When I was at my worst you helped me, when I was at my best you had fun with me. You opened yourself to me and showed me who you are inside. You gave me the motivation I needed to go on and something to look forward to. You support me in everything I do and help me correct my quirks and failures while always keeping that sweetness that defines you. I expect great things with you, and I’ll do my best to make them happen. I love you kitten.

Last but not least I want to address my good friend Julie. Honesty is your trade… You simply cut out the bullshit and say things at face value. Some people might see it as a bad thing but not me. I think it is what makes you so special and the reason you have been able to gain my trust so fast. If I asked something, you replied with nothing but the truth. In a way, you have become something of a big sister for me, for you are always there to put me in the right place and stand up for me if it’s needed. It’s really hard to talk about you, but that’s because you have such a distinctive personality it takes time to fully understand it. I wish that more people could appreciate that. You’re always strong and yet tender and caring. Thank you for everything.

I want to make a special mention to my best friend Andrew, who has been with me ever since childhood. Even when times were rough you always stayed loyal. You might call yourself selfish, but a selfish person would’ve never given me the level of support and understanding that you’ve given me for so many years. May our friendship never die.

All of this is nothing but a fraction of my thoughts, for there is quite a lot to be said about all of you. But for now, I leave you with this little fragment of my gratitude.

If you need help, I’ll be there.

If you want to hang out, I’m all for it.

If you want to cry, I’ll conceal you.

If you have a secret, I’ll keep it.

If you’re being abused, I’ll stand up for you.

Just like you have done for me.
